My name is Amara Janke — and I’ve been in your shoes.
I’m a single mom to two amazing kids, and I’ve divided my life between my two main passions: Being a super involved mom and balancing a fit and healthy lifestyle.
I KNOW how hard it is to get started, stay motivated, and try to figure out what to do to reach your health and fitness goals. When I first started out, I had NO idea what I was doing — I spent so many hours in the gym, simply running on the treadmill, because I didn't know what else to do.
I decided to LEARN. I set my sights on learning everything I could about the ways nutrition interacts with our fitness, and how to maximize efficiency in both diet and exercise. I achieved my training certification at 18 years old. I learned how to lift, proper form and all about the body and nutrition. For the next 10 years I used this information to help myself, family and friends.
I founded Team Crazy Fit in 2009, and now, with 11 years as a coach under my belt, I live and teach the healthy lifestyle I always envisioned: Lifting weights, feeling great, running, and eating healthy. And more importantly, I’ve taken what I’ve learned and shared it with other women like me, helping transform their lifestyles into the healthiest, happiest versions possible.
Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about “looking good in a swimsuit.” It’s about being able to chase your kids around, living a longer and more fulfilling life, increasing your energy, feeling good about yourself, and having the confidence and health to enjoy life to its fullest.
In 2009, I opened Team Crazy Fit and never looked back.
